"Conference Coordinator" Service

Webster's New World Dictionary defines meeting as 'a gathering of people to discuss or decide on matters.' The same edition goes on to define teleconference as 'a conference of individuals in different locations'. Today, more and more businesses are conducting meetings through the use of teleconferencing. Conference calls allow organizations to communicate quickly and cost-effectively by substantially reducing the need for travel. A teleconferencing 'meeting' brings important ideas and information to everyone involved efficiently and inexpensively.

Meet Me Service allows conferees to call a predetermined 800 number at a predetermined time. This service works best when the time and date of a teleconference may be set a few days in advance, with a confirmation going out to the members involved via fax or a phone call.

Example: The next meeting of the rules subcommittee of the national association for zip code simplification will be held via teleconference at 2:30 P.M. Eastern Time on Wednesday, August 17th. All conferees please dial 1-800-222-XXXX at 2:30 Eastern Time and enter conference number 4-6-7-8.

Conference Coordinator Service is available with the assistance of a professional operator for just a few pennies more than the automated Meet Me service. Services available through the use of a Conference Coordinator include: greeting callers, identifying the sponsor of the meeting, taking roll, initiating calls, adding foreign destinations, recording and transcription.
